Space Systems Finland selects VectorCAST for ECSS-E-40 Software Development – Software Criticality Category B and C

Providence, RI USA – 4/18/2017 – Vector Software, the world’s leading provider of innovative software solutions for embedded software quality, announced today that VectorCAST has been selected by Space Systems Finland Oy (SSF) to develop and validate satellite software in both its land-based and flight control systems. 

SSF develops software and systems design solutions for customers in aerospace, defense, medical devices, machinery, and nuclear industries. The company’s services include system design and development, systems engineering, software development and testing, validation and verification of safety-critical software products, and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions.

SSF’s development team chose the VectorCAST test automation platform to automate software testing, provide code coverage analysis, and satisfy the Software Verification Process objectives as defined in section 5.8 of the ECSS-E-40 standard.

“Our test tool evaluation team considered several other applications for software testing. We ultimately chose VectorCAST because of its good reporting tools and its support for several programming languages,” stated Timo Latvala, director, sales and technology at Space Systems Finland.
