Magma Rising

How Rajeev Madhavan is Taking Magma to the Next Level

by Amelia Dalton

In this week's Fish Fry, I interview Rajeev Madhavan (Magma CEO) about Magma’s Silicon One initiative, how he thinks Magma fits into the EDA ecosystem and where EDA should be headed in the future. Also, Mentor Graphics plays musical product lines and Catapult C finds itself with a another company. I'll give some wild speculation on what actually happened.

I have a DE0-Nano Development Board to give out, but you'll have to listen to find out how to win.

@p@ I want to design a self-contained sensor and processor unit to be installed on a flag pole near a beach. The idea is to measure audio captured from the sea waves (tide) and vibration from weather (windy) conditions and post process it to ... well let's just say that I'd like to raise your eyebrows wondering. rosinkrans I would like to use this kit to evaluate the VIP suit with QSys. My intention is to connect a camera to it and do my own pattern recognition algorithms/block in QSys that can compare two images and calculate they're motion vectors depending on if they have a recognized shape or not. The application would be hand gesture recondition to control lights/motors/belts etc...
