Space Coast’s SpaceTEC announces partnership with AKYLADE to offer accelerated cybersecurity courses at Space Coast Aerospace and Defense Training Center

ORLANDO, Florida — AKYLADE, a leading innovator in cybersecurity certifications, has announced a new partnership with SpaceTEC’s Space Coast Aerospace and Defense Training Center. The ADTC will provide accelerated courses of study to those seeking a career in cybersecurity or those in the cybersecurity industry who wish to advance their careers.
The agreement, which begins in January 2025, will benefit cyber and information technology professionals by offering two hybrid (virtual and instructor-led) 80-hour classes that allow students the flexibility to complete the training and earn certifications in far less time than it takes to complete full semester courses. In this partnership, SpaceTEC will provide the instructor and offer the courses; AKYLADE will provide the curriculum and cyber knowledge.
“This accelerated program created for SpaceTEC and those on Florida’s Space Coast will truly help those companies with cybersecurity and IT teams who want — and need — to improve their skills and knowledge base,” said Jason Dion, AKYLADE’s co-founder and chief product officer. “We are also proud to be able to offer these classes at greatly reduced tuition rates due to the partnership and collaboration with us, SpaceTEC, and the Aerospace and Defense Training Center. It is truly a win-win for students and companies who wish to enhance their cybersecurity and technology teams’ knowledge and skills set, having the opportunity to learn from our experts at truly affordable prices.”
Courses offered through this partnership include Aerospace Cybersecurity Level 1 (Cybersecurity Support Technician, IT Specialist), Aerospace Cybersecurity Level 2 (Junior Security Operations Center Analyst), Aerospace Cybersecurity Level 3 (Security Operations Center Analyst), Aerospace Cybersecurity Level 4 (Incident Response Practitioner), and Aerospace Cybersecurity Level 5 (Junior Penetration Tester).
“The growing use of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, digital twins, and internet of things in advanced manufacturing processes means Space Coast industries are more vulnerable to outside threats and cyber attacks today than ever before,” said Steve Kane, executive director of SpaceTEC. “To assist employers across the region with developing capabilities to combat these and other IT and cybersecurity issues, the Space Coast Aerospace and Defense Training Center is launching an Aerospace Cybersecurity Training Program in conjunction with CompTIA Platinum Partner Dion Training and NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0 certification administrator AKYLADE.
“AKYLADE understands what employers are looking for in cybersecurity, and this new program is focused on cyber resilience. Proving cyber professionals have the right skills and security knowledge offers Space Coast aerospace, defense, and other advanced manufacturing companies additional assurance that they can combat these challenges.”
