SEGGER expands Flasher support for Renesas RH850 family

Monheim am Rhein, Germany – December 19th, 2024

SEGGER broadened Flasher programmer support for Renesas’s RH850 range of high-end automotive microcontrollers with the addition of the F1L, F1K, F1KH, F1KM, C1x, P1x, D1x, E1x, E2x, and U2A models.

Current Flasher licenses allow required software and firmware updates to be downloaded free of charge, and they enable use with all supported target devices.

“With high performance and low power consumption, the RH850 family has earned its spot in many automotive designs. Our production programmers provide a high yield rate with a very fast programming speed, which make them ideal for high-volume programming in automotive mass production,” explains Dirk Akemann, SEGGER’s Head of Technical Marketing.

About SEGGER Flashers

SEGGER Flashers are professional in-circuit programming tools designed for mass production and service environments. They support programming of non-volatile memories in microcontrollers, Systems-on-Chip (SoC), and (Q)SPI flashes.

All SEGGER Flashers come with setup and control software compatible with Linux, macOS, and Windows. Software and firmware updates are provided at no additional cost, ensuring continued compatibility with currently supported devices as well as new devices added in the future.
