SECO USA Achieves AS9100D Certification for Aerospace Quality Management

SECO USA Inc. (“SECO USA” or the “Company”), a leading provider of embedded computer solutions for the aviation, defense, and industrial sectors, is pleased to announce that it has received ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D certification for its quality management system covering the design, manufacture, and service of embedded computer systems and platforms.

AS9100D is the highest quality management standard specifically designed for the aerospace and defense industries. It builds on ISO 9001:2015 and adds enhanced requirements for provider and supply chain management, risk management, reliability, and quality. This certification highlights the Company’s commitment to meeting and exceeding the demanding requirements of defense and avionics customers.

The certification process involved a comprehensive analysis of SECO USA’s quality management system, including documentation, process control, risk management, and product safety.

This milestone further strengthens SECO USA’s long-standing commitment to supporting aerospace, defense, and industrial programs with high-reliability embedded solutions. Over the years, the Company has developed and delivered application-specific systems for demanding use cases, including rugged devices, custom circuitry, and edge processing platforms for mission-critical environments. Examples of delivered solutions include the MQ-25 Deck Control Device for the U.S. Navy’s MQ-25A Stingray carrier-based unmanned aerial refueling platform, military drone control tablets, and application-specific embedded processing circuitry for both portable and fixed military and avionics systems.

More broadly, AS9100D certification reflects SECO USA’s established quality management practices, further aligning them with the specific requirements of the aerospace and defense sectors, while continuing to support a broader range of industries, including industrial automation, medical devices, vending, and other embedded markets.

“Achieving AS9100D certification is a significant milestone for SECO USA,” said Dario Freddi, Managing Director of SECO USA. “It demonstrates our unwavering commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and the strict safety standards necessary to support our partners in the aerospace and defense sectors. Every single employee of SECO USA contributed to this milestone and understands how they contribute to ongoing performance improvement.”
