November 5, 2020 – Crowd Supply, announces the launch of PolarBerry, a system-on-module (SoM) single board computer (SBC) utilizing the Microchip PolarFire system-on-a-chip (SoC). PolarBerry is a highly flexible solution that supports rapid commercial deployment for a range of applications, including low-power, real-time Linux applications.
PolarBerry, developed by Sundance DSP and launched with support from Crowd Supply, is based on the Microchip PolarFire SoC, which itself boasts a four-application-core, Linux-capable 64-bit RISC-V subsystem. The high level of security provided by the PolarFire SoC includes key management, bitstream protection, anti-cloning protection, and FPGA hardware access control, providing the defense-level security necessary for real-time applications. PolarBerry can be used as a standalone module or in combination with a carrier board. The SoM SBC is designed to be application-flexible, supporting easy usability and rapid commercial deployment of solutions requiring strong low-power performance.
PolarBerry, the newest hardware project launched through Crowd Supply, is a part of the Microchip Get Launched design program. Sundance DSP is a vendor in the Microchip Mi-V ecosystem.
