NOVOSENSE Launches New Automotive Grade Digital Isolator Range for NEVs

High performance isolation and sensing solutions for NEV applications will be on display at PCIM – Hall 4A, Booth 119.
May 7, 2025, Shanghai – NOVOSENSE Microelectronics, a semiconductor company specializing in high-performance analog and mixed-signal chips, has launched a new range of third-generation automotive-grade digital isolators. The NSI83xx series of capacitive-based isolators offer superior EOS resilience and minimal power noise susceptibility, making them ideal for simplified system-level EMI mitigation and ensuring signal integrity in dense, high-frequency SiC-based switching environments.
NSI83xx series delivers reinforced insulation above 10 kVrms, a CMTI of 200 kV/μs, and a lifespan exceeding 30 years. Designed specifically for applications like BMS and traction inverters, the AEC-Q100-compliant NSI83xx series stands out with industry-leading EMI performance, achieving over 10 dB margin in the CISPR 25 Class 5 test.
An advanced range of isolation and sensing solutions for New Energy Vehicle (NEV) applications, including the NSI83xx series, will be on show at PCIM Europe 2025, addressing common design challenges in battery management systems (BMS), on-board chargers (OBC), DC-DC converters, and traction inverters.
As part of this range, NOVOSENSE is also introducing its NSI67x0 smart isolated gate driver series to the European market. Built to support the latest SiC and IGBT devices, these drivers offer precise control, robust CMTI, and short propagation delays essential for managing the fast switching speeds and high voltages in modern traction inverter architectures. Their integration helps reduce design complexity while improving gate drive reliability under harsh electrical transients.
Also debuting in Europe is the NSM201x-P Hall-effect current sensor series. Tailored for NEV OBCs, DC-DC converters, and solar system applications, these sensors can achieve sub-±1% sensitivity error and ultra-low zero offset error across wide temperature ranges, thanks to advanced calibration and compensation technologies. With 5000 Vrms isolation, rapid 1.5 μs overcurrent detection, and primary-side resistance as low as 0.27 mΩ, the NSM201x-P offers exceptional accuracy and safety in space-constrained, high-current environments. Its broad model range and packaging options support flexible integration into both unidirectional and bidirectional systems, including Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) enabled OBCs.
