Molex Extends Cable-Assembly Product Line with Addition of I-PEX MHF® 4L LK and MHF® I LK Cable Assemblies

  • Multiple cable-assembly configurations available using MHF® receptacles and Molex RF connector interfaces
  • Patented locking mechanism elevates connection reliability and security for rugged RF applications subjected to continuous shock and vibration

April 12, 2023 – Lisle, IL – Molex, a global electronics leader and connectivity innovator, has extended its cable-assembly product line with the addition of innovative solutions from I-PEX, a leader in the field of high-frequency and high-speed transmission connectors. Together, the organizations offer I-PEX MHF® 4L LK and MHF® I LK cable assemblies, which are available in multiple configurations using standard MHF receptacles and Molex RF connector interfaces.

The MHF I Series of micro-RF coaxial connector systems takes advantage of I-PEX’s patented locking mechanism to add another layer of connection reliability and security. Designed to keep signals connected through constant shock and vibration, this cutting-edge solution clicks into place seamlessly. Inspired by operation with drones, the patented locking system is ideally suited to address the most rigorous connectivity demands across the automotive, consumer electronics, data center, medical, smart appliance, and telecommunications industries.

“Molex is pleased to team with I-PEX in taking robust and reliable connectivity to the next level,” said Donna Wallburg, group product manager, RF connectivity, Molex. “As part of our continued collaboration, we offer a one-stop source for solutions that address the most rugged RF applications while keeping pace with ever-increasing RF cable assembly demands.”

To simplify and streamline implementation, the I-PEX cable assemblies offer:

·       Standard, off-the-shelf availability to speed time to market and eliminate tooling

·       A standard MHF receptacle that enables locking cable assemblies to mate with standard MHF receptacles

Now available, Molex offers standard assemblies on 1.13, 1.32 and 1.37 mm cable-type options.

Machine Learning on the Edge
Sponsored by Mouser Electronics and Infineon
Edge machine learning is a great way to allow embedded devices to run applications that can collect sensor data and locally process that data. In this episode of Chalk Talk, Amelia Dalton and Clark Jarvis from Infineon explore how the IMAGIMOB Studio, ModusToolbox™ Software, and PSoC and AURIX™ microcontrollers can help you develop a custom machine learning on the edge application from scratch. They also investigate how the IMAGIMOB Studio can help you easily develop and deploy AI/ML models and the benefits that the PSoC™ 6 Artificial Intelligence Evaluation Kit will bring to your next machine learning on the edge application design process.
