Knowles Corporation Elevates Audio Performance in New JLab Epic Sport ANC 3 True Wireless Earbuds

Knowles balanced armatures deliver superior treble and crystal-clear sound in JLab’s best-sounding sport earbuds.
ITASCA, Ill., September 5, 2024 — Knowles Corporation (NYSE: KN), a market leader and global provider of advanced micro-acoustic microphones and speakers, audio solutions, and high-performance capacitors and RF products, proudly announces its second key design win with JLab’s Epic Sport ANC 3 True Wireless Earbuds. Designed to deliver an unparalleled listening experience with an ultra-secure fit, the JLab Epic Sport ANC 3 features Knowles balanced armatures (BAs) in a hybrid configuration that promises premium sound quality.
Integrating Knowles BAs into the JLab Epic Sport ANC 3 True Wireless Earbuds represents a significant leap forward in audio performance for sports earbuds. Despite their small size, these BAs deliver exceptional treble performance, with output up to 40 kHz, meeting the stringent standards for JAS Hi-Res Audio certification. In the Epic Sport ANC 3 design, the BA works harmoniously with a 10mm dynamic driver in each earbud to create a rich, well-balanced sound across the full frequency curve. Knowles BAs are also incredibly compact and fit comfortably in the ear tip, enabling the buds to achieve superior fit without sacrificing comfort, sound quality, range, or battery life.
The enhanced treble response and high sensitivity of Knowles BAs offer a superior listening experience and facilitate customization, allowing listeners to fully experience the higher treble frequencies in every piece of music. Based on this, JLab designed its signature sound tuning to incorporate the Knowles Preferred Listening Response Curve. The Knowles Curve is based on research showing that listeners of all ages and hearing abilities prefer an expanded treble response beyond 10 kHz, providing the most satisfying music experience. Now available as an equalizer setting in the JLab app for the Epic Sport ANC 3, this curve has garnered widespread praise from both consumers and product reviewers following its success in the JLab Epic Lab Edition.
“Working with Knowles again on a new Sport model, the Epic Sport ANC 3, has allowed us to create our best-sounding sport earbuds yet,” said Win Cramer, CEO of JLab. “The inclusion of Knowles’ Balanced Armatures delivers unmatched clarity and power, setting a new standard in audio performance for true wireless sport earbuds. This is the best-sounding sport earbud ever made and we’re super proud of it.”
“We’re proud to work with JLab on another incredible sounding true wireless earbud that brings consumers an accessible listening experience that packs a punch,” said Jon Kiachian, President of MedTech and Specialty Audio at Knowles Corporation. “A testament to the expertise of both companies in the audio industry, this cooperation underscores our commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions that redefine the listening experience for consumers.”
The Epic Sport ANC 3 True Wireless Earbuds are available in the US for $99.99, the UK for £ 99.99, and EU for €119.99 in later this month at www.jlab.com and other online retailers. To learn more about Knowles audio solutions, visit www.knowles.com/applications/ear-solutions/premium-sound.
