Elma’s Rugged JetSys-2010 Empowers Systems Designers with AI-at-the-Edge SFF Computing

New system maximizes AI resilience to provide full and local control over data
Technical Highlights

  • NVIDIA® Jetson Orin™ NX-based AI inference system
  • Live demo at embedded world 2025, Hall 1, booth 555
  • High-performance computing, operates reliably under harsh conditions

PFORZHEIM, Germany, March 2025 – Elma Electronic now offers the JetSys-2010, an industrial grade rugged small form factor (SFF) platform for AI inference computing. By providing full data control with maximum resilience in edge computing applications, the new platform gives system designers unprecedented abilities to develop high-performance computing systems for industrial applications.

At the heart of the JetSys-2010 is the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX SoM with 16 GB and the NVIDIA JetPack software development kit (SDK). Developers can benefit from NVIDIA’s rich suite of AI tools and the NVIDIA JetPack SDK, which is a complete solution to accelerate end-to-end AI application development. The SDK also includes the Jetson Linux board support package (BSP), the Jetson AI Stack, and Jetson Platform Services to streamline AI application development.

Holger Heidenblut, Edge AI expert at Elma Electronic, noted, “The JetSys-2010 closes a major gap in the rugged computing market by offering a highly reliable and low-maintenance AI processing platform directly at the point of use. It enables our customers to retain full, local control over AI data without the need to go to the cloud, no matter the conditions on the ground.”

The JetSys-2010 stands out with its innovative passive cooling, designed for applications where environmental protection is critical, like mining, robotics, agriculture, and autonomous vehicles. It is also well suited for industrial applications at the edge, like robotics, automation and networked mobility solutions.

Typical implementations include predictive maintenance, anomaly detection and automatic quality control. To comply with requirements for use in railway implementations, the JetSys-2010 is designed to meet EN50155, and is ready for use in rugged transportation applications.

The JetSys-2010 ships standard with two Gigabit Ethernet ports, USB and LAN. A wide range of common interfaces are available, including RS232, RS485, CANbus and user-defined I/O. Additional interfaces include maintenance ports, like USB-Console or a DVI port and an optional extension and IO-ready GSML camera interfaces. The unit ships with either 1TB M.2 or M.2 2242 SSD storage and is powered by a railway-compliant power supply.

The JetSys-2010 will be available starting in April 2025. To book a demo at embedded world 2025, visit us in Hall 1, booth 555 or email us at sales@elma.com.
