ASRock Industrial Computer and VinCSS Partner to Tackle Urgent IoT Security Challenges

Hanoi, Vietnam and Taipei, Taiwan August, 2024 — ASRock Industrial Computer Corporation, a global leader in edge computers and industrial motherboards, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with VinCSS Internet Security Services Joint Stock Company (VinCSS), Vietnam’s leading cybersecurity firm. This strategic partnership aims to enhance IoT security solutions and achieve FIDO Device Onboard (FDO) certification, addressing the critical security needs of the rapidly expanding IoT landscape.

The rapid deployment of IoT devices presents significant security challenges. IoT attacks increased by 600% between 2016 and 2017, and with 29.42 billion IoT devices projected by 2030, robust security measures are urgently needed. The global IoT security market is expected to reach $20.98 billion by 2028, led by the Asia Pacific region. The growing complexity and cost associated with onboarding these devices necessitate innovative solutions

ASRock Industrial, renowned for its expertise in industrial PC motherboards, edge computers, and various industrial products, serves customers globally across the manufacturing, business, and retail industries. VinCSS excels in IoT security and has pioneered several world-first FIDO Device Onboarding (FDO) solutions, including FDO cameras, FDO car park systems, and the FDO network deployment solution, many of which have been successfully commercialized worldwide.

This collaboration will see ASRock Industrial and VinCSS researching and analyzing the current state of the FDO and IoT security solutions market, sharing insights from each party’s security business. Leveraging VinCSS’s extensive experience and ASRock Industrial’s diverse resources, the collaboration aims to achieve FIDO Device Onboard (FDO) certification, streamlining and securing IoT device onboarding processes.
