WHY:
In the wake of 9/11, as America strengthens national security, cyber security issues are increasingly seen as a threat. There is a growing need to protect businesses, government agencies, and individuals against attacks on networks and public and personal information. Experts will discuss high-profile network breaches at the Pentagon, Citibank, and others, as well as check fraud, email phishing, and social media hacking. NYIT is educating individuals and organizations on ways to protect against such vulnerabilities. This fall, NYIT is launching a program in network security to teach students how to find and fight these risks.
Interview, photo, and visual opportunities can be arranged during the conference. Several experts are available before 9/11 and for other advance interviews. For press registration, contact Briana Samuels at 646.273.6022 or brianasamuels@nyit.edu. On-site Contact: 646.240.9158
