Xilinx to Deliver Industry Perspective at SEMICON West 2011 at SEMI/Gartner Market Symposium & ‘3D in the Deep Submicron Era’ TechXSPOT Session

SAN JOSE, Calif., July 5, 2011 – Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ: XLNX) today announced its participation in the SEMI/Gartner Market Symposium and 3D in the Deep Submicron Era TechXSPOT session at Semicon West 2011 (San Francisco, Calif.).  In presentations delivered at the outset of each event by Xilinx executive Vincent Tong, senior vice president of quality and new product introductions, attendees will learn more about supply chain best practices in the race to 28nm and below, and hear an industry perspective on opportunities and challenges for 3D IC design.

The SEMI Market Symposium, co-sponsored by SEMI and Gartner, will include a midyear market update, industry outlook, market analysis and forecast for semiconductors, equipment and materials and offer a forum to discuss pertinent business issues. Tong will deliver a keynote titled Living in the Process Technology Fast Lane – the Race to 28nm & Below from 1:10 to 2 p.m., immediately following opening remarks by Dean Freeman, Vice President, Research at Gartner.

Xilinx executive Tong will set the stage for this afternoon session with a presentation titled Industry Vision of 3D in the Deep Submicron Era.  Hosted by the SEMI Advanced Packaging Committee, Americas, the session has been organized  by Jie Xue, director of technology and quality for Cisco Systems and Gamal Rafai-Ahmed, AMD fellow.
