FREMONT, Calif., June 1, 2011 – ClioSoft, Inc., developer of the premier hardware configuration management (HCM) solutions for the electronics design industry, will demonstrate its SOS Design Collaboration Platform and introduce a new hierarchical Visual Design Diff (VDD) at DAC 2011. ClioSoft’s VDD now allows engineers to compare and highlight differences in schematics or layouts in the entire design hierarchy. Users can review changes made in their workspace or compare differences between two tags or milestones for the selected schematic or layout and the entire hierarchy below. The SOS platform is integrated seamlessly with Cadence’s Virtuoso® Custom IC, Mentor’s ICstudio, SpringSoft’s Laker™ Custom Layout Automation System and Synopsys’ Galaxy Custom Designer flows. At DAC, ClioSoft will also demonstrate its latest integrations with Mentor’s IC station and the open source Eclipse IDE.
WHAT: The ClioSoft SOS Design Collaboration Platform provides management and version control of design data, streamlining the design process by enhancing communication and facilitating efficient and accurate sharing of design data from concept through tape-out. The tight integration of ClioSoft’s HCM suite with major design flows improves hardware design team productivity, reduces the chance of mask respins due to configuration errors and makes design reuse more efficient.
As always at DAC, ClioSoft also hosts a Texas Hold ’em poker game on the hour every hour in the booth. A professional dealer explains the rules (users need no prior knowledge) and the game lasts for 20-30 minutes. Anyone can enter the game, and every hour the winner walks away with a Roku XD Streaming Player.
WHO: Of interest to analog, mixed-signal and custom IC design and layout engineers and managers; CAD engineers and managers. To schedule a meeting or demonstration sign up athttp://cliosoft.com/dac2011/
WHEN: Monday, June 6 through Wednesday, June 8, 2011
WHERE: Booth # 1535. The 48th Design Automation Conference (DAC) will be held at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California.
About ClioSoft:
ClioSoft is the premier developer of hardware configuration management (HCM) solutions. The company’s SOS Design Collaboration platform is built from the ground up to handle the requirements of hardware design flows. The SOS platform provides a sophisticated multi-site development environment that enables global team collaboration, design reuse, and efficient management of design data from concept through tape-out. Custom engineered adaptors seamlessly integrate SOS with leading design flows – Cadence’s Virtuoso® Custom IC, Synopsys’ Galaxy Custom Designer, Mentor’s IC flows, and SpringSoft’s Laker™ Custom Layout Automation System. ClioSoft’s innovative Universal DM Adaptor technology “future proofs” data management needs by ensuring that data from any flow can be meaningfully managed. The Visual Design Diff (VDD) engine enables designers to easily identify changes between two versions of a schematic or layout by graphically highlighting the differences directly in the editors.
