ClioSoft to Unveil Hierarchical Visual Design Diff at CDNLive! EMEA 2011

FREMONT, Calif., May 2, 2011 – ClioSoft, Inc., developer of the premier hardware configuration management (HCM) solutions for the electronics design industry, will demonstrate its SOS Design Collaboration Platform and Visual Design Diff with seamless integration with the Cadence® Virtuoso® custom design platform at CDNLive! EMEA 2011Visual Design Diff (VDD) gives users the power to quickly compare two versions of a schematic or layout by graphically highlighting the differences directly in the editors.

ClioSoft is introducing a new release of VDD that allows engineers to compare and highlight differences in schematics or layouts in the entire design hierarchy. Users can review changes made in their workspace or compare differences between two tags or milestones for the selected schematic or layout and its hierarchy below.

WHAT:  The ClioSoft SOS Design Collaboration Platform provides management and version control of design data, streamlining the design process by enhancing communication and facilitating efficient and accurate sharing of design data from concept through tape-out. The tight integration of ClioSoft’s  HCM suite with Cadence® Virtuoso® improves hardware design team productivity, reduces the chance of mask respins due to configuration errors, and makes design reuse more efficient. For additional information on ClioSoft HCM solution for Virtuoso®, please see http://www.cliosoft.com/products/sos_viadf2.shtml. For information on VDD or to download a VDD whitepaper or datasheet, please see http://www.cliosoft.com/products/vdd.shtml

WHO:  Of interest to analog, mixed-signal and custom IC design and layout engineers and managers; CAD engineers and managers

WHEN:  Wednesday, May 4th, 2011

WHERE:  Booth # 6, CDNLive! EMEA 2011, Dolce Hotel Munich, Germany

About ClioSoft:

ClioSoft is the premier developer of hardware configuration management (HCM) solutions. The company’s SOS design data collaboration platform is built from the ground up to handle the requirements of hardware design flows. The SOS platform provides a sophisticated multi-site development environment that enables global team collaboration, design reuse, and efficient management of design data from concept through tape-out. Custom engineered adaptors seamlessly integrate SOS with leading design flows – Cadence’s Virtuoso® Custom IC, Synopsys’ Galaxy Custom Designer, Mentor’s IC flows, and SpringSoft’s Laker™ Custom Layout Automation System. ClioSoft’s innovative Universal DM Adaptor technology “future proofs” data management needs by ensuring that data from any flow can be meaningfully managed. The Visual Design Diff (VDD) engine enables designers to easily identify changes between two versions of a schematic or layout by graphically highlighting the differences directly in the editors.
