Digi-Key Corporation Expands Distribution Agreement with Hirose Electric Co., LTD

Monday, April 4, 2011 – THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minnesota, USA and Simi Valley, California, USA – Electronic components distributor Digi-Key Corporation, recognized by design engineers as having the industry’s broadest selection of electronic components available for immediate shipment, today announced it has signed a global agreement to distribute products from Hirose Electric Co., LTD, including European and Asian countries.

Products from Hirose are now available for purchase on all of Digi-Key’s global websites and will be featured in future online catalogs.

Hirose specializes in the manufacturing of connectors and has produced multiple interconnective solutions for mobile communications, broadcasting, computers, consumer electronics, measurement and control solutions, and automotive needs.

Jeff Shafer, Digi-Key vice president, interconnect, passive, and electromechanical product, said, “We are very pleased to expand our agreement with Hirose.
