ArrayComm and CEVA Demonstrate TD-LTE Base Station

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. and MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., March 21, 2011 — ArrayComm LLC and CEVA, Inc. [(NASDAQ: CEVA); (LSE: CVA)], today announced the successful demonstration of ArrayComm’s BasePort™ TD-LTE base station PHY running on high performance CEVA DSP cores. The demonstration was implemented on Mindspeed’s Transcede™ 4000 System-on-Chip and verified by a tier-1 operator.

“This milestone in TD-LTE technology development is a direct result of our strong collaborative relationship with CEVA and Mindspeed”, said Bruce Duysen, President of ArrayComm. “More than ever, wireless OEMs are requiring packaged hardware/software solutions from their suppliers in order to deliver a comprehensive LTE product portfolio”.

The performance demonstrated included channel bandwidths up to 20 MHz and user data rates to 64 QAM on two antennas.

“SoC technology will play a key role in the development of LTE infrastructure products”, said Eran Briman, vice president of marketing at CEVA. “We are pleased to join with ArrayComm and Mindspeed to take a leadership position in LTE technology advancement.”

“Some of the largest and rapidly growing LTE networks in the near future will utilize the TDD option,” said Alan Taylor, Marketing Director at Mindspeed. “It’s very important that Mindspeed has not only the best SoC platform, but is able to provide a complete solution in conjunction with a strong eco-system covering all our customers’ requirements”.
