Toronto, Ontario – March 2, 2011 – Infobright, the open source analytic database company, today opens the call for entries for its first Infobright Coding Contest. The contest is seeking coding contributions to the Infobright Community Edition (ICE) columnar database in two main categories: application design and application development. Coders, hackers and software enthusiasts are all invited to throw their hat into the ring, with a chance to win up to $1,500. Details are as follows:

All entries must use ICE and be focused on the management of machine-generated data. This includes a broad range of data such as web logs, systems and network logs, sensor and telemetry data, telecom call detail records, SIEM data and more.
