Cavium Networks to Showcase Next Generation Security Solutions for Enterprise, Data Center and Cloud Computing at RSA 2011

Cavium Networks (NASDAQ: CAVM), a leading provider of semiconductor products that enable intelligent processing for networking, communications, and the digital home, will demonstrate market-leading security solutions based on Cavium’s OCTEON, NITROX and NITROX DPI processors, adapters and TurboDPI software in booth 528 at RSA Conference 2011 in San Francisco from Feb 14th to 17th. Cavium Networks’ OCTEON and NITROX family of processors support high-performance 2048 bit RSA key sizes now being recommended by NIST and Elliptical Curve Cryptography (ECC) that is being mandated by the NSA and government departments.

Enterprise, data center and service provider equipment manufacturers have deployed Cavium solutions across a wide range of equipment including Application Delivery Controllers (ADC), UTM & Anti-Virus Gateways, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), VPN/Firewalls, Web, Mail and Search Servers, URL Filtering and Content Security appliances, Cloud Appliances, Government, Financial & Healthcare systems, Routers & Switches, WAN and WLAN Controllers, Data Leakage Protection (DLP) & Storage Appliances and 4G wireless.

Cavium will be showcasing the following product lines in booth 528:

Cavium NITROX Security Processors and Acceleration Adapters – NITROX processors support up to 40 Gbps of security processing, up to 200K 1024 bit RSA Ops/sec, up to 35K 2048 bit RSA Ops/sec, up to 20 Gbps of compression and integrated SRIOV virtualization hardware. This level of performance is up to 10 times greater than alternative multi-chip solutions within the same power envelope.

Cavium OCTEON II Processors and Intelligent Network Adapters – provides the industry’s broadest and highest performance multi-core MIPS64 processors with performance ranging from 1 Gbps to 40 Gbps in a single chip. The OCTEON processor family integrates 1 to 32 cores, networking interfaces and industry leading hardware acceleration for packet processing, quality of service, TCP offload, iSCSI offload, RAID, de-duplication Security, compression / decompression and deep packet inspection (DPI).

Cavium NITROX XL HSM Adapters – delivers the world’s fastest FIPS 140-2 Level 3 performance at up to 45K RSA Ops/Sec and 5 Gbps of cryptography, all in a low profile, PCIe Gen 2 form factor. Now OEMs can add FIPS certification to their appliances without the need to submit to prolonged certification processes.

Cavium NITROX DPI II L7 Content Processors – supports inline, NIC and coprocessor modes and integrates patent-pending HFA (Hyper Finite Automata) DPI engines to handle Anti-Virus, Anti-Malware, Intrusion Prevention (IPS) and URL Filtering and up to 40 Gbps of application recognition.

Cavium TurboDPI – Cavium will also demonstrate its TurboDPI software which helps OEMs easily add DPI support to existing product lines. TurboDPI can simultaneously identify protocols and applications, block malicious or inappropriate URLs, block intrusion attempts and locate virus and malware threats, all with just a single scan of the data stream.
