Argon Design announces partnership with leading Network Intelligence expert Qosmos

London, UK – 19th January 2011 – Argon Design, a leading provider of technology, product innovation and engineering solutions to the communications, multimedia and semiconductor industries, has joined the Qosmos Expert Developers (QED) program.

Argon Design, a high technology design company based in Cambridge, UK, is focused on delivering Multicore, Manycore and parallel processing design solutions. It provides system, hardware, FPGA and ASIC design, with advanced software design and development for a range of clients from entrepreneurial start-ups to established multinational organisations.

Qosmos specialises in unique Network Intelligence technology that provides unprecedented visibility into data traffic. The company delivers software development kits and intelligent IP probes which recognise thousands of protocols and metadata attributes for the most accurate picture of real-time data activity on networks. Going beyond traditional Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) technology, Qosmos treats the network as a real-time database, to identify, query and extract specific data with unparalleled precision and detail.

The QED program is designed to provide developers using Qosmos technologies with resources and support to enable them to strengthen their development capabilities and performance. They augment expertise through the on-demand availability of Qosmos use cases, technical resources, comprehensive training, certification programs and the opportunity to share knowledge with other members, thereby advancing Qosmos-powered offerings. Argon Design’s technical team is particularly strong in multimedia applications and is working closely with Qosmos on enabling the ixEngine DPI/Network Intelligence software in imaging, video analysis and other related applications, such as multi-media traffic optimisation and QoE.

“I am delighted that Argon Design has become a QED partner for Qosmos”, comments Alan Scott, CEO of Argon Design. “With the experience and quality of design capabilities that Argon Design can already deliver, we can now also provide the benefit of the market’s most advanced Network Intelligence technology to our clients.”

“We are very pleased to welcome Argon Design as an official Qosmos QED Partner,” added Thibaut Bechetoille, Qosmos President and CEO. “We are impressed by Argon Design’s record in product innovation and in particular its deep expertise in video technology, which is especially interesting for Qosmos customers who implement mobile video QoS solutions. We look forward to developing a long-standing relationship with this new QED Partner.”

High Power Charging Inlets
All major truck and bus OEMs will be launching electric vehicle platforms within the next few years and in order to keep pace with on-highway and off-highway EV innovation, our charging inlets must also provide the voltage, current and charging requirements needed for these vehicles. In this episode of Chalk Talk, Amelia Dalton and Drew Reetz from TE Connectivity investigate charging inlet design considerations for the next generation of industrial and commercial transportation, the differences between AC only charging and fast charge and high power charging inlets, and the benefits that TE Connectivity’s ICT high power charging inlets bring to these kinds of designs.
