Custom Silicon Solutions Wins New Military ASIC Development Program

IRVINE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Custom Silicon Solutions, Inc. (CSS) (www.CustomSiliconSolutions.com), a leading fabless semiconductor company that provides turn-key custom ASICs (Application Specific Integrated Circuits) and standard product solutions, has won a new Military ASIC development program.

This new program is for the design and production of a Mixed-Signal ASIC for Thales-Raytheon Systems (TRS) in Fullerton, California. The Mixed-Signal ASIC will be used in the TRS AN/TPQ-36 and AN/TPQ-37 Firefinder weapon locating radars. In the radars, the ASIC serves as a high speed digital to analog converter. This custom circuit is part of an on-going TRS effort to continuously upgrade technology to the Firefinder radar set. CSS will provide a turn-key ASIC development, including: design, test program development, fabrication, qualification and production deliveries of this custom integrated circuit.
