Don’t eat me: Caterpillar that looks like snake’s head

This is a series of photographs from University of Pennsylvania biology professor Daniel Janzen of a species of caterpillar in Costa Rica (and other Central American countries) that has a realistic looking snake’s head on its underside. Plus it will actually try to strike like a snake if you get too close.
