Zonoff Opens Home Automation Platform With Launch of Open Device SDK

MALVERN, PA, June 13, 2013 — Zonoff, Inc., creators of the Zonoff Connected Home Platform, today announced the availability of their Open Device Software Development Kit for qualified partners who are currently (or will soon be) manufacturing connected devices. The new SDK enables device OEMs to take advantage of rapidly developing innovation within the “Internet of Things” space, in order to deliver compelling connected home solutions to consumers.

Whether they are manufacturer-specific wireless protocols, differentiated devices features on open protocols, or proprietary interfaces for IP connected devices, all manufactures can now bring value to the consumer experience in a way that best suits their business model and their consumers.

Zonoff’s developer platform is a key initiative in the company’s mission to become the common platform that enables all wireless standards to communicate with each other. Those brands that leverage the Open Device SDK will enable a seamless consumer experience that combines Zonoff’s best-in-class software platform with a brand consistent user interface.

“The Internet of Things has already reached the mass market, as consumers understand and covet the wide range of innovative solutions available to automate the home,” said Mike Harris, Zonoff CEO. “Whether consumers are looking for trusted brands to deliver high quality and robust solutions or innovative new participants, our Open Device SDK enables brands to leverage their current investments and technology to make the Internet of Things come alive in the home.”

Zonoff’s Open Device Software Development Kit provides a powerful yet simple way for retailers, service providers, device manufacturers, and others to integrate with an ecosystem of over 1,000 connected devices. The SDK provides device manufacturers with access to the software tools needed to integrate their differentiated technology directly into Zonoff’s Connected Home Platform, while still participating in the customer experience and maintaining the security of their own intellectual capital.

The Zonoff Connected Home Platform currently supports 12 wireless protocols, with more in production via device partners. To learn more about the Zonoff SDK, please visit http://www.Zonoff.com/SDK.
