Optimal+ Selected by Xilinx to Provide Real-Time Analytics for Wafer Sort and Final Test Manufacturing Operations

HOLON, Israel — Optimal+, a leader in Manufacturing Intelligence solutions, today announced that it was selected by Xilinx to provide real-time visibility into their production test operations taking place in their global supply chain. In a move intended to improve efficiency, quality and yield, Optimal+ and Xilinx collaborated to create an environment based on the Optimal+ Global Ops solution that would provide Xilinx with real-time visibility into all test operations occurring in their OSATs.

Through the use of the Optimal+ Big Data Infrastructure, Xilinx is able to monitor all aspects of their test operations being performed in their OSATs, including site-to-site test results, temperature monitoring and bin limits. Additionally, Xilinx can create highly flexible and reconfigurable rules that can automatically check for issues that would otherwise be too difficult to track manually. This creation of this tightly integrated environment was driven by Xilinx to enable even faster response times to their manufacturing issues.

“At Xilinx, we develop many high-end devices that are used to drive numerous mission-critical functions in the networking, mil-aero and automotive market segments. Quality is a critical aspect to our business,” said Vincent Tong, senior vice president, Global Operations and Quality at Xilinx. “With the real-time visibility of our test operations provided by Optimal+ we are able to monitor every critical parameter in our test environment to ensure that every product is of the highest quality and performs as expected.”

Global Ops from Optimal+ is the industry’s leading solution for improving yield and quality in semiconductor manufacturing that is based solely on test. The ROI achieved by Global Ops is realized entirely within manufacturing operations and does not require any front-end engineering changes, delivering fast, measurable results that positively impact product yield and quality.

“We are delighted to work with Xilinx and help them establish a real-time solution for their global manufacturing supply chain,” said Dan Glotter, founder and CEO of Optimal+. “With Xilinx’s adoption of Global Ops, we are continuing to expand the scope and scale of our solutions and are committed to enabling the semiconductor industry to create actionable intelligence from every aspect of their manufacturing operations and optimize their supply chain to improve yield, quality and productivity.”
