Silego Technology introduces GreenPAK Emulation Software and Hardware.

Santa Clara, CA – July 11, 2011 – Silego Technology, Inc. announces the release of the GreenPAK Emulation Kit and GreenPAK Designer software. GreenPAK Designer software (rev 1.04.07) works with the new GreenPAK Emulation hardware as an ideal development platform for generation and testing of new GreenPAK circuits.

A 2×2 mm GreenPAK IC is a mixed-signal logic array that often replaces the function of 4 and 8-bit microcontroller applications or simple discrete mixed-signal logic circuits resulting in lower power consumption, up to 90% smaller PCB footprint, lower cost, and significant part count reduction. The on-board finite state machine, programmable logic, counters, delays, ADC, voltage reference, oscillator, and PWM allow for 1000’s of applications such as proximity / motion / temperature sensor interfaces, LED drivers, motor controllers, touch sensing, and over voltage protection.

The new Design Emulation Kit is available for either Windows or MAC OS and is fully graphical requiring no program coding or compilers to configure the GreenPAK IC. In addition, the hardware comes with a built-in signal generator, and a host of configurable input and output options. Engineers that have worked with the Beta version have described the Kit as “fun and easy to use,” “powerful and intuitive,” and “better to use than designing discrete circuits or coding small microcontrollers.”

“Engineers will be able to create a circuit design, develop a test bench, and run simulations in minutes with the new GreenPAK Emulation Board and Designer Software,” said Aron Cooperman, Product Marketing Manager at Silego Technology. “These tools allow engineers a great deal of flexibility and speed in creating their design; they can change parameters, create multiple test benches and share their design with their co-workers all in one file.”

To learn more about the GreenPAK architecture and design tools, training videos in multiple languages, design examples, and applications notes are available from the Silego website. In addition, technical support and one-on-one training sessions are available via the Silego website.

Prices and Availability

The GreenPAK Designer Software is available for free download on the Silego website, it can be found at greenpak.silego.com.  To obtain a GreenPAK Emulation Board please contact either Silego Sales or your local Silego Manufacture Representative. The Emulation board can also be purchased on the Silego Web store for $69.

About Silego

Silego designs and sells highly configurable power, logic, and timing mixed signal IC products referred to as CMICs (Configurable Mixed-signal IC Products). The CMIC products integrate medium precision analog components, discrete digital logic, and passive components into highly configurable small, easy to use, low cost ICs. CMIC products provide customers the benefits of reduced system parts count, lower power consumption, less board space and reduced BOM costs. Silego was recognized in 2010 by Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Rising Star ranking as one of the fastest growing technology companies in Silicon Valley.
